Etaples.
The town of Etaples
is situated, on the bank of the estuary of the
river Canche,.the opposing bank being home to Le Touquet
airport.
The town
is noted chiefly for its small
fishing and commercial port and
boasts some of the best fish restaurants in the area. It is
also well known as a staging post for large numbers of troops
during "The Great War".
