The Spanish group Parques Reunidos, owners of the Aqualud in Le Touquet are considering a number of improvements for the pyramid sea front water park. The management has recently committed to an assessment of the Carbon footprint for the park. Once the results are in work will begin to start to minimise the impact the park has in consuming energy to heat the water and air to the tropical environment required inside. It is thought these plans will include solar panels on the south side of the Pyramid.

The range of projects being discussed include: private beach on the beach, renovation of the children’s attractions, or even change a slide outside in the longer term (two years?) But the most advanced is the renovation of the façade which is likely to start even before the closure of the park this winter. This was an important consideration so that the queues for the water park could be protected from the sun and rain.

I’m going there on a school trip in a few weeks, I’m really nervous about it. Are there any maps of the park available to download? And has anyone actually been there? I’ve been on the website but, of course, it’s all in French and google translate doesn’t do a very good job! Also I can’t download the rules of the park from the website for some reason wo can anyone help with that??
